Some of the entrance fee lists in the US:
Field museum of natural history (Chicago): Entrance fee $ 25.00
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Admission Ticket (Florida): $38 adult/$28 child (ages 3-11)
Grand Canyon National Park Fees(Arizona): Private Vehicle $25
Yosemite National Park entrance fee(California): Vehicle: $20 - Valid for 7 days. Individual: $10 (In a bus, on foot, bicycle, motorcycle, or horse). Valid for 7 days
Statute of Liberty(New York): no entrance fee, butt fee for Ferry Ride: Adult: $11:50, Senior (62 and over): $9:50, Child (4-12): $4.50, Under 4:Free.
All the place mentioned above are not privately own. Not ALL countries charged more for visitors.
I agree that we SHOULD charge more for tourist, but 10 times seemed to be too much na ka.
BTW, in the US, recent rate for Public college and university is average $ 15 - 20 per unit. Non-resident pays 12 times more. the only way to pay the same price with citizen students is that if you go to private school.
just showing both sides of the argument ka. If anyone has any info for a tourist destination in USA that charged the tourist more than the citizen, please let me know. (so I won't go there ^___^)
what if a tourist came from a poorer country, how much do they pay?
