Dear All Cyclists,
The continuously soaring prices of gasoline have an adverse effect on the increased cost of goods,commodities,utilities and rising cost of living .These cause many people
Diminish their opening to save money. Some people change their mind to travel by bus instead of using their own cars where is someone uses physical energy for walking or riding a bike.
Nowadays, there are several campaigns that encourage people ride bicycle in their lives. The government section, Bangkok which is one of the campaigns holder has an idea to provide public bikes that any people can borrow them without fee . This project will be started firstly on Silom Road in order that people can ride bikes from their houses or offices and shift to take BTS or MRT conveniently, Mr.Apirak Kosayothin, a Bangkok governor . order สำนักสิ่งแวดล้อม และ สำนักการจราจรและขนส่ง(สวส) to consider details together this project was planed to begin on 9th April or 9th May 2008 and will be propagated to another areas in the future.
Bike riders in Bangkok come togethers to motivate Bangkoks citizens to use bikes as vehicle in place of cars, Recently , by communicating on internet they reached on agreement to launch a campaign CRITICAL MASS or LETS RIDE A BIKE, called by TCC(Thailand cycling club) www.thaicycling.com
The first time of this campaign is on Friday 29th February 2008, place Siam Discovery Center, time 6.30 pm. And keep it on every month.
