มันจูคือสิ่งนี้ค่ะ... (แต่เราชอบเวอร์ชั่นนึ่งมากฟ่า เคยกินที่ Ikaho)
Momiji manju, Hiroshima’s most popular souvenir, is a small, maple-leaf-shaped cake filled with mashed sweet bean paste. Although there are various theories as to why it came to be made in the maple-leaf shape, this cake has a history of more than 100-years.
In addition to the orthodox strained/unstrained sweet bean paste, a wide variety of fillings include cheese cream, chocolate cream, custard cream and powdered tea-flavored cream. In some shops, these cakes are sold individually. Some shops give baking demonstrations. Freshly baked cakes with hot bean paste filling can be enjoyed only in these shops.
In addition to Momiji manju, the makers produce various types of other confectionery, including Japanese sweets and Japanese crackers.
