There's no direct train. This is how I did my trip.
Nice Ville --> Marseille --> Avignon --> Narbonne --> Barcelona. I also stopped at Nimes and Carcassonne.

Nice Ville --> Marseille --> Avignon --> Port Bou --> Barcelona (13 hours)
or
Nice Ville --> Montpellier --> Figueres --> Barcelona (10 hours) Reservations are required.
There's direct night train from Paris to Barcelona.
If time is your concern, plane is your best option.
