K. Erbys,
First of all, thanks for visiting my trip diary.
1. In my total expenses 65K, this includes Air Fare already.
2. We stayed overnigt at YHA - Youth Hostel all our trip. YHA is pretty good, actually better than our expectation. If you don't mind to share toilet, bathroon, and some facility, it is very ok. Since most of my trip took off early in the morning and came back late at night, YHA matched our purpose and save our budget to spend to another thing.
3. All of my major activities had been booked from Internet in Bangkok. Car Rental : www.thrifty.co.nz Youth Hostel : www.yha.co.nz Air Fare : Local agency in Bangkok - Silverstone Tour
I gotta say this way, something is cheaper if you book from agency. You have to check the price from internet first and ask the local agency whether or not it's cheaper. For example, car rental, you should check from website first. There are 4 or 5 companies that have office at the airport. (no need to have a drive to pick up your car in town) check all of them from internet first. They are
AVIS : www.avis.co.nz Hertz : www.hertz.co.nz Budget : www.budget.co.nz Thrifty : www.thrifty.co.nz I forgot the other one, sorry.
As I know, you have to check with the promotion among these company and your airline member you have. AVIS with Royal Orchid Plus, Hertz with Cathay Pacific, etc. Then compare with the local. You can call AVIS, Hertz, Budget and Thrifty office in Bangkok to ask for special price. Now it's up to you to pick up your choice.
Any further query, feel free to let me know. Hope this help.
