Hi,
Firstly I must tell you that you should not have any negative feeling from others comments. You should not let others affect your passion in photography at all. Photography is an art. It is extremely subjective. The moment you shoot that photo as you see something in that picture or view through your eyes that means something to you, catches your feeling, that is why you click that shutter. Others may see the same thing but just ignore it and walk away. This is what photography and art is all about. Some may like it, others may hate it. So it is Great that you share your pictures with us, but dont be disppointed or depressed by others comments. As lomng as you like it, love it, happy with it ( what you have taken ), that is all matters to you and most important to you.
Now back to your pictures. As a new photographer, I can see that you have just started. However you can shoot quite well as a new comer. You compose the picture very safely. Most of your pictures are directly at the centre of the frame. You should try to offset the 1/3 or 2/3 rule in future. Try it and you can see the effect.
Example picture of Flower in comment #17, it looks a little normal and boring as it is exactly at center. Look carefully at the sharpness. The pedals are in sharp, but the centre of the flower - filament is out of focus. Technique called one point perspective or multi-point perspective, drawn the attention from the pedals to the centre of the flower, which is most important area of the picture, but turn out to be out of focus. Hence needs to watch out in future.
Your picture in comments #10 is good and daring, the 2/3 rule applied and very effective, it also catches the right feeling of the person which shows some emotion. This is important.
Your picture in comments #11 is one of the Best in your collection. This is using panning technique to show the speed of the subject. Usually used in sports photography. Not sure you use this technique or you got it by chance. This technique is to use a slightly slower shutter speed, and the camera follow the subject movement, in this case from left to right, and take a shot. This picture also shows the happy moment of the girl riding, which is absolutely brillant. Well done. Would be better to show more of the bicycle, as this technique will cut out all the unnecessary background. Same technique can be used in the picture in comments #21. Then it will be better to show th elittle girl jumping high, and at the same time cut away ( out of focus ) for all the background which distroy the picture in #21.
Good shooting. Keep up your good work. Technically, skill, you are OK. See more books and pictures which will enhance your composing technique. Hope to see more pictures from you. Happy shooting my friend.
