Grammy-winning producer Rodney Jerkins declares his mission in 2006 is to make sure the victims of Hurricane Katrina are not forgotten - with a star-studded fundraising redux of the classic 1979 Sister Sledge hit "We Are Family."

"It's not over," reminds Jerkins. "People still don't have homes, people still don't have clothes, and I feel it's our obligation as people to help, and I'm being one of the ones to initiate it by doing a song that's gonna raise a lot of money for these people." Jerkins says once word got out about the tribute song, his phone started ringing off the hook. "Brandy called and said, 'Why is my brother (Ray J) on it and I'm not on it?' We were only going to do about eight artists, but it's probably going to be about 15 artists by the time it's done. We've got the Sledge Sisters, Mary Mary, Ray J, Ciara, Bebe Winans."

And, of course, Jerkins says he couldn't say no to two of his favorite superstars to work with, Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige. "We were supposed to finish the song by the end of December, but Mariah's people called and said she couldn't do it till this month, so I said I'm waiting for Mariah - and I gotta wait for Mary. But this will be the last month, and we're going to get it out."
