The HDTV Grammys! พูดถึงสาวๆและหนุ่มๆ(หรือป่าว)ในงานแกมมี่ มีทั้ง worse และ better
News Feature The HDTV Grammys! Today's top music stars may sound good, but how do they look in crystal-clear high-def? By Phillip Swann
Washington, D.C. (February 13, 2006) -- The music industry convened in Los Angeles last week to hand out the 2006 Grammy Awards for the best musical performances of the year.
But, of course, at TVPredictions.com, we don't evaluate celebrities on how they sound, but rather how they look in ultra-real High-Definition TV. The HD picture, which is up to six times clearer than regular TV, allows viewers to see the stars as they look in real life.
So, here are Swanni's HDTV Grammy Awards -- the Best & Worst Looking Musicians of 2006, when seen through the unforgiving lens of high-def:
Worse in HDTV
Sheryl Crow Sheryl Crow? Her first name should be "Scare," as in Scarecrow. The pop artist has gone Calista Flockhart on us. She's so skinny now that when she wears a low-cut dress, you can see more ribs than at a Tony Roma restaurant. Maybe she hung around too long with bicyclist (and ex-boyfriend) Lance Armstrong. Sheryl, get off the bike and get onto a buffet.
Worse in HDTV Madonna Madonna reportedly has had some cosmetic surgery on her face. But it certainly didn't make her a cut above the rest. The pop star's cheeks look more caved in than a West Virginia coal mine. It's very unnatural looking. In fact, she's starting to look like Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard. Except, please, no close-ups, Mr. DeMille.
Better in HDTV
Beyonce Knowles The Pink Panther star is the cat's meow in high-def. . Beautiful skin; beautiful teeth; beautiful hair. And, yes, a beautiful body. Of course, it helps that Beyonce is 24 years old, but youth alone won't save you from the high-def lens. (See below.)
Worse in HDTV Britney Spears Yes, Mrs. Federline is 24, but she looks 34 in HDTV. Her skin is puffy and covered with small blemishes. In high-def, she looks like a different person. And considering the disappointing sales of her last two albums, her record company might think she's become a different person.
Better in HDTV
Christina Aguilera The singer has nice skin and beautiful white teeth. But it's her sparkling blue eyes that really shine in high-def. Very pretty. If Madonna ever has to reprise her MTV kiss, she would be wise to skip Britney and go straight for Christina.
Better in HDTV Mariah Carey She's a little chunky, but she looks downright luscious in high-def. Her skin is clear and smooth and seems to glisten in HDTV. At last week's Grammy Awards, Mariah wore a dress cut so low that it would make a baby cry. However, despite the excess pounds, she pulled it off. Well, she didn't really pull it off or the FCC would have smacked CBS with another 'wardrobe malfunction' fine.
Worse in HDTV Alicia Keys Ms. Keys is very cute, but her longtime acne problem is very visible in high-def, particularly around her cheeks. She has endorsed the acne cream, Pro-Activ, but it doesn't look like it's working very well.
Better in HDTV Sting The former Police front man is 54, but he could pass for 44 in high-def (maybe even younger). His face is largely unlined and there's very little excess skin around the eyes. Sting practices Yoga; so forgive the pun, but it's no stretch to see the benefits.
Better in HDTV Paul McCartney Surprised? Well, I was when I saw him in high-def during the Grammy Awards. Thanks to some hair dye (and who knows what else), the 63-year-old looks considerably younger than his years. I guess we'll still love him when he's 64.
Worse in HDTV
Mick Jagger In high-def, his face looks like a rolling stone. No, on second thought, it looks like it's been hit by a rolling stone.
