Snoop Dogg has revealed his guest spot on Mariah Carey's new single Say Something was brought about by Pharrell Williams. "We were working in the same studio. I was in the front end and she was in the back," Snoop told MTV News. "And Pharrell actually made it happen. He was like, 'Come down the hallway and get on this mic right now.'"
And it was down to another superstar mate to give him direction. "Nelly was there too," he says. "He gave me direction on which way to take my rap."
Despite her reputation as being notoriously hard to please, Mariah's very happy with the results. "Snoop sings and raps and he was one of the first people to bring that style to the forefront. He took it to a new level. So that's why its great to have him on the this track doing what he does so wonderfully," she says.
