ฮึฮึ พี่ตุ๊กตา ขอบคุณคราบ ดีคราบขอsubบ่อยๆ อิอิ ว่าแต่เพลงอายาย หนูขอล่วย อิอิอิ --------------------------------------------------------------------------- C-POP World Japan - Zaizai Tea Fight Interview (10 Jul 2008) Credit :Translated by sytwo@Asianfanatics.net
ZZ started with greetings in Japanese to all the Japanese audience.
ZZ : This movie uses Tea as the main theme. I have never encountered a movie that uses Tea as the theme. Thats one of the reason that attracted me to it. The 2nd reason is because the character Yang is from the dark side (bad guy), a triad boss. I have never experience this previously, so that is why it especially interest me.
[Short snippets of movie Yang making tea. {sytwo : Love this scene, so beautiful). ]
ZZ : All of our tea-making actions and movements were guided by a professional teacher. Even before we started filming, we have to learn all the basic movements of tea-making and not learn while we are filming. Because certain tea-making movements and reactions need to be acted out in a relaxed way in front of the camera. There are many steps/ utensils (sytwo : not sure of this) , so it our movements need to be relaxed and show confidence. And so before filming, a teacher went through the whole regime and actions, and help us understand the art of tea-making.
[Short snippets of movie Yang holding Erika Toda after he rescued her.]
(sytwo : I nearly FAINTED at ZZ/ Yangs soft voice as he asked Erika Dai-jo-bu? ie. Are you OK? And then gave her a killer smile after that. Yang was all out to seduce Erikas character here. LOL!! )
ZZ : Before we started filming, we have communication problems between the cast members. Because at that time we do not know each other well yet, and we needed the help of the translator very often. And even through the translator, we may still be unable to totally convey our thoughts across. So at the beginning, there were really communication challenges. But once we started filming, the problem was gone. Because before filming, the Japanese cast and I have already cultivated an mutual understanding earlier on. By using simple English and actions, we were able to let the other person understand our thoughts and point of view. And so we developed good chemistry later on.

ZZ : Working together with this young friend, Erika Toda
.Hah hah! Its not often that I get a chance to call someone young friend. She really is very young, a 19 year old little girl. Her ability to act and perform with such depth, and ability to understand the character so well and also her professional attitude, makes me feel surprised and full of admiration. I feel that its really good. I feel that this is something that the current crop of young actors should follow, not just the young actors but in fact all actors. Being professional so that people will respect you is the real characteristic of an artiste/ actor. Only then can you be called an actor/ artiste.
As for being with Mr Teruyuki Kagawa, it was a very happy experience. Because he gives me the feeling of a friend, and also of family
..sometimes he is like a father and sometimes like a big brother. But when his playfulness comes out, he will be like a little brother. So my relationship and interaction with Mr Kagawa is very something very natural and relaxed. When I talk to him, I dont feel like I am working or is an artiste, nor is he an artiste. Its like we are fellow colleagues after work who chat with each other like friends. This is a very unique and special experience.
At 5:05 min (the infamous section and question where ZZ gave that "look")
Question (translator) : You also have a beautiful face. So can you also deceive a girl?
While the question was being translated, ZZs eyes expressions changed and he looked at the translator with rather penetratingly-suspicious and cheeky eyes.
ZZ : I dont think so
..are you sure she asked the question that way? (sytwo : Hmmm
.does this mean ZZs understanding of Japanese is getting better now?)
Translator : Yes, thats correct. (with laughter in her voice)
ZZ (looking sideways at the translator/ host) : Her question is whether I think
..isnt it? (look to the other side at someone else).
Translator/ host (laughing in the background) : Yes, she did.
ZZ : She was not referring to me, but whether such a thing can happen in real life, right? Is that what was meant?
Translator : Yes, thats right
(At this point, ZZ was looking at the translator/ host with a very cheeky smile (tongue-out) and naughty, playful, challenging eyes that seems to say Are you trying to trick me?)
Translator/ host tried to explain further. (sytwo : Bua ha ha ha!! They must have been taken aback by ZZs naughty/ challenging looks).
ZZ : OK, OK, I understand.
Translator/ host : Do you think such a thing will happen for real?
ZZ : This is a very serious matter. (smiling while he said this, but still serious). In this world, there are too many people who use their beautiful/ attractive face to deceive others. No matter a man or a woman, this is happening all the time, every minute and every second, to people around you. I feel that there is only one thing that will be in your heart when it comes to this matter
..if you have a beautiful/ attractive face, how do you use it to make others like you
.that is your own choice. But if you are someone without much morals or integrity, then it is very easy for you to go on the wrong path. You will become like Yang. Yang did it purposely because he wanted to get the Ancient Tea and so he deceived people. But in real society, there are actually many people who uses this for their own motives and goals. I urge everyone not to do this. Because this is not a good thing, and will make others have a negative impression whenever they meet someone with a beautiful/ attractive face and outer appearance. And this also caused that separation between idols and real/ serious actors.
