Divas Live" returning, Request Mariah!
"VH1 Divas" returns after a four-year hiatus with what promises to be a star-studded show. VH1 wants to hear from "Divas" fans to help determine the direction of the show. Beginning today, VH1 is asking users to tell them who they'd like to see perform at this year's "VH1 Divas" which will air live from the Brooklyn Academy of Music Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, New York, on Thursday, September 17.

In 1998, VH1 debuted the first annual VH1 Divas concert in support of the station's "Save The Music Foundation." The concert became an immediate success and consequently VH1 Divas aired annually from 1998 until 2004.
Mariah showed her support for this endeavor at the initial concert in 1998 where she performed "My All," "Make It Happen," "Chain of Fools" with Aretha Franklin and "A Natural Woman/Tesimony" with other top female performers. She appeared again in 2000, singing "Love Hangover/Heartbreaker," "Can't Take That Away," "Baby Love/Stop In The Name of Love" with Diana Ross and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."
