Jackson Kids Involved in Car Accident/Jackson's Will -- Randy Says Not MJ's Signature/Judge Releases Warrants in Jackson

Jackson Kids Involved in Car Accident
Posted Oct 21st 2009 7:42PM by TMZ Staff

UPDATE 6:00 PM PT: Sources close to the Jackson family tell us Grace Rwaramba -- the kids' nanny -- was driving the car with the kids inside. We're told the Jackson caravan was on the way to karate class, but the paparazzi gave chase ... and that's when one papper allegedly smashed into the back of the Jackson Escalade that wasn't carrying the kids.

UPDATE 5:45 PM PT: Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the car that was hit was a Jackson security car, which was following the car carrying the Jackson kids. The kids were NOT in the car that was struck by the paparazzo.

Cops also tell us a hit-and-run report was taken on the scene around 2:20 PM near the crash site in Sherman Oaks -- just a few miles from the Jackson home in Encino. It is currently under investigation.

UPDATE 5:30 PM PT: Witnesses tell TMZ the driver who struck the Jackson car fled the scene after impact. In California, leaving the scene of an accident without exchanging information is a crime. The D.A. could file a felony hit-and-run charge if the evidence is there.

UPDATE 5:15 PM PT: Joe Jackson tells us he spoke with Katherine and the kids are fine.

TMZ has learned Michael Jackson's kids were involved in a car accident moments ago in Sherman Oaks.

We're told a paparazzo -- not ours -- was following the Jackson car when the pap's gold Yukon rear-ended the Jackson car near the off-ramp of the 101 Freeway near Katherine Jackson's Encino home. Our sources say the accident wasn't severe and the kids are okay.

Story developing ...

Jackson's Will -- Randy Says Not MJ's Signature
Posted Oct 21st 2009 1:35PM by TMZ Staff

Randy Jackson claims Michael Jackson could not have signed his 2002 will, because he was 2,475 air miles away from the place the document was supposedly inked.

According to the will, it was signed on July 7, 2002 at 5:00 PM in Los Angeles. Randy Jackson tells TMZ he has proof MJ was in New York from July 5 through July 9, on a campaign against Sony honcho Tommy Mottola, claiming Mottola had a thing against Black artists.

The lawyer for the estate, Howard Weitzman, tells TMZ the witnesses to the will were face-to-face with Jackson when he signed the document. Weitzman would not say if the will was signed in L.A., even though the document refers to Los Angeles.

The intimation -- the will may actually have been signed outside of L.A. even though it says Los Angeles.

The plot thickens.

UPDATE: TMZ spoke with Al Sharpton's rep, Rachel Noerdlinger, who confirms Sharpton and Jackson were protesting Mottola in NY together in 2002 on July 6th and July 9th.

As the for the key date -- July 7th -- Sharpton's rep released the following curious statement:

"We have reason to believe that Michael may have been in NY on the 7th and Rev. Sharpton will address this after he discusses it with the Jackson family."

ET has the latest...

A hearing is scheduled on Thursday regarding the Michael Jackson estate. Read on for details...

John Branca and John McClain, lawyers for Jackson's estate, have filed an application requesting that they be appointed as special administrators and be given general powers, granting them limited authority to administer the estate.

"Despite any claims to the contrary, we are confident Michael Jackson's will is valid, that he signed it and that it reflects his wishes," Howard Weitzman, attorney for John Branca and John McClain, said in a statement. "All three witnesses listed on the will recall being present when Michael signed it."

Judge Releases Warrants in Jackson Investigation

ET has obtained newly unsealed warrant papers related to searches of Dr. Conrad Murray's premises in Las Vegas.

The documents, just released by a Nevada judge, are tied to July 28 raids on Murray's home, office and storage unit in Las Vegas. Property taken in the searches included computer hard-drive images, a phone message book, a CD, binders and miscellaneous paperwork.

The judge has chosen not to unseal documents pertaining to an August 11 search of a pharmacy where Murray allegedly purchased the sleeping drug propofol, explaining that releasing those papers now "could compromise the Los Angeles Police Department's ongoing investigation into the homicide of Michael Jackson," reports the Associated Press.

The judge ordered that a hearing take place on Nov. 18 to decide if that warrant should remain sealed.
