นี่เป็นอีกข้อความที่อยู่ในหน้าแรกของเว็บไซต์ ที่เธอเขียนเกี่ยวกับไมเคิล
Diary, July 1st Dear all,
The newspapers are still headlining about the sudden death of Michael Jackson. I posted my first reaction to his death on my website last week, after that I did an interview for a Dutch television show. Several media confronted me with the fact that my brother Tjeerd and me were support act during his world tour in 1996. A long, longggg time ago. Still, it made me reminisce about everything we did back in the days. Total Touch had just scored it's first hits with 'Touch me there' and 'Somebody else's lover' and I had just done my first solo performance during the opening of the Amsterdam Arena. Our management was done by Mojo and when they heard Michael Jackson came to Holland, they suggested us to be the support act. Dispite their knowledge of the fact that Michael didn't want a support act during his tour. After hearing our music, the Jackson-management agreed to us supporting for Michael! As you can imagine, Tjeerd, me and the rest of the band were thrilled! For us, this was a huge opportunity. So many people singing our songs, but most of all the suspense for the myth "Michael". Without any expectations we did what we came for and we thought to ourselves: we'll see how things work out. During his show we stood on the side of the stage and had a great view on how he performed, I still remember I got a huge kick from watching that. "This man is born to be on stage, he's a unique entertainer and his performance skills are bizarre. He knows how to give soul to a song. What a great singer, WOW!" That's what comes to mind when I think back about that special night. Also, I remember the end of the show, where Michael jumped onto a rocket that flew right out of the stadion. I will always wonder whether this was actually Michael. It could have been a stand-in so Michael could sneak off to the hotel. We'll never know... When we left our dressingrooms after Michael's show, we passed by his dressingroom and I remember seeing a "miniature Neverland": Mickey Mouse, dozens of shoes and numerous glitteroutfits. It looked quite funny. We were invited by his band to have a drink at the hotelbar (at the Grand hotel). But, no Michael there either... After talking to his band for a while it became clear that his band didn't really see him off-stage either. They would only see him when he made his entrance on stage. But absolutely nobody would criticize him. I guess everybody realised this man couldn't live a normal life with his popularity. And that's how the myth Michael lives on, he was one of a kind. There will never be a new Michael Jackson. He didn't live his life the way he wanted to, which led to all of his rarities. I hope he will be remembered for his music. His music made him the King of Pop and he will always be the King of Pop. At least for me he will. I grew up with his music, his music inspired me and so many others.
Love, Traincha
