There’s something bittersweet about watching a band surge to popularity an album or two after their prime. On one hand, it’s great to see :-)-time favorite get the press he deserves; on the other, there’s that whirlpool of media sucking the band further and further from the product you first fell in love with. Enter my relationship with Evil Urges era My Morning Jacket: zs great as it is to see the folk-rock heavyweights scoop up the festival headlining slots they deserve, they’ve never lived up to the glitz of earlier tracks like Dancefloors and One Big Holiday.
