Barry Gibb flew in to Britain last night as fears grew for his sick brother Robin. Fears for Bee Gee after cancer battle.
Doctors suspect Robin, 62, may have developed pneumonia since announcing he was in remission from cancer last month.
Barry, 65, came from Tennessee, US, to join other members of the family at Robins side at a private clinic in London yesterday. Barrys son Stephen, 39, flew in later from Miami.
A family friend said: They fear it may be the last time theyll see Robin. His recovery and determination has been remarkable, but theres been a turn for the worse.
His bodys taken a hell of a beating. The doctors fear for him but hes determined to battle on.
Robin appeared to be winning the battle against cancer after undergoing chemotherapy since he was diagnosed last year.
Last month he said: As far as the doctors are concerned, theyve got it.
He had been fighting the disease at home in Thame, Oxon, with wife Dwina by his side. But his weight loss worried friends and family. His spokesman would not comment last night.
Robins health problems began in October 2010 when he had emergency surgery to treat a twisted bowel the condition that killed his twin brother Maurice nine years ago, aged 53.
In April last year the teetotal vegan was rushed to hospital with abdominal pains, which were found to be caused by previously undetected cancer.
