I started a joke, which started the whole world crying,
but I didn't see that the joke was on me, oh no.
I started to cry, which started the whole world laughing,

I looked at the sky, rubbiing my hands over my eyes,
and I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that I'd said.
Till I finally died, which started the whole world living,

ฉันเริ่มเล่าเรื่องตลก เรื่องตลกที่ทำให้คนทั้งโลกร้องไห้
แต่ฉันไม่รู้ว่า เรื่องที่เล่านั้นมันเป็นเรื่องของตัวฉันเอง
โอว์..ไม่นะ
ฉันเริ่มเล่าเรื่องเศร้า เรื่องเศร้าที่ทำให้คนทั้งโลกหัวเราะ
โอว์....ฉันเพียงปรารถนาจะได้รู้ว่านั้นมันเรื่องของตัวฉัน
ฉันมองท้องฟ้า ยกมือขยี้ตา
แล้วฉันก็ตกจากเตียง
ฉันรู้สึกเจ็บปวดกับสิ่งที่ฉันได้พูดไป
จนวาระสุดท้าย ฉันตายในขณะที่ผู้คนก็ยังดำเนินชีวิตต่อไป
โอว์.....ฉันปรารถนาจะได้รู้ว่าเรื่องตลกนั้น มันเป็นเรื่องของตัวฉันเอง
