< Rainy days make one nostalgic >
Before the current good weather, it rained consecutively for a few days, Ive caught a cold! (this is around Chinese New Year period last year when he caught and cold a Stefanie Sun visited him)
Theres a special feeling, the cold weather plus my stuffy nose, such an atmosphere reminds me of the old days, wonder if you guys have felt this way before. Maybe one day you rummage through your stuff and find an elementary school textbook, flipping through its old and yellowed pages, it releases a peculiar odor that you havent smelled in ten years, it is this exact moment and setting that brings you back to the past, you back in your third grade class, doodling on the pages while reading aloud the text on the page, chatting with the girl sitting next to you in class
I believe everyones had such an experience, being brought back to the past due to a certain object, smell, or the right ambience. I really want to convert such a feeling into a composition, to record it down, but Im a little lazy and never got down to doing that. (I think he finally did that with Hui Dao Guo Qu!)
When I was in high school, I enjoyed going around with a tape recorder recording different sounds. Sometimes I would use my classmates names to form into a rap. Because I didnt know how to do a demo at that time, I would play black peoples music and rap along with it. My classmates found that hilarious. Or I would record us getting reprimanded by our teacher, or conversations between my friends and me. Its such a pity that all these recordings have been thrown away! This is a suggestion that you can bring along a tape recorder with you and record the yourself at the present moment, then listen to it 10 or 20 years later, it gives you special feeling that I think you will like.
Spring is here; everything seems to have a new beginning. Ive started my recording, have you? Have you already begun your plans for the new year?

< Photo book selling well, thank you for your support >
The flowers are starting to bloom at Yang Ming Mountain, have you gone up to see it? Sometimes being in natural surroundings can give us inspirations, when you are deeply moved by Natures beauty.
Time really flies, its already April. I thought that after Chinese New Year, Ill be able to concentrate on composing for my new album. But at the moment, Im still as busy as I was during the promotional period. I guess a singers life is like that of a convenience store (like 7-Eleven), no holiday all year round! But despite that, Ive used whatever time I have to complete the melodies for a few songs. I know everyones waiting, but I have my own schedule as well, I cant work too fast or too slow. When making music, one cannot take attempt to rush things, neither should one be lethargic, that is my principle.
Last month, my photo book was released and Ive heard that sales have been pretty good. Wonder if thats because Im too attractive?? (haha! this sounded really funny in chinese - shi bu shi wo tai you mei li le?!) Or is it due to Vincent Fangs good writing? Anyway, thank you all, were really very happy.
Also, I suppose you wouldve seen me styled in different ways in the photo book! Even though some of the pictures were posed, I think the effect was okay! Let me know if you have any suggestions.
During the autograph session for the photo book, I saw fans from many different countries. I was touched in my heart, but when I saw the nervous look on Vincent Fangs face, I just felt like laughing. Didnt I look good playing the piano!? This is
what I usually do - I would jus casually play and sing at the piano, and eventually get ideas for song melodies! Please give me more time, my new album will be out soon. With regards to what type of different music there will be, I cant say much at this point! Because everyone has a duty to keep secrets and defend against spies! (Chinese idiom bao mi fang die)
Jay Diary Volume 5
< To be an international star, learning English is a must! >
Its really odd, its already May, yet the weather is still so unpredictable, sometimes warm sometimes cold. Certainly theres been much wind and rain lately, but that wont affect me! (wind and rain here refers to chaos and instability in jays life, probably due to rumors at that time)
I still live my life searching for happiness, even though I havent had much freedom / free time for a while, but its still sufficient for me at present. To use a bit of my free time in exchange for 2 or 3 song melodies or half a songs lyrics, thats worth it! (tells us once again jay composes melodies much faster than lyrics)
Recently Ive been learning some dance moves, hope to convert the Jay who cant dance to a great singer-dancer, haha! Funny? Alright, Im going to start being more hardworking, going to write some lyrics that hopefully will come in handy, so I can beat Vincent Fang to being the best lyricist. In the new album, Ill present a brand new me. In order to spread the Fantasy spirit, Ill continue using the cool style of imagination, look forward to it! Give me two more months
Besides preparing for the new album, Ive already begun speaking English in one-to-one lessons. I have no choice, because my Nunchuks EP has been released in Italy and Europe. When I have the opportunity, I will travel further to promote my music. If I cant even speak English then, it will be embarrassing! So whenever I have time these days, I will converse with my teacher, and also my colleagues at alfa music! Learning English is something I have to do! Finally, lets all work hard, continue being ourselves!
