I have every single CD of Horowitz's playing, and I love them all. There are 35 CDs, if I'm not mistaken. For me, Horowitz plays Mozart sonatas the best, though he only recorded 5 sonatas in total. Of couse, he was alslo superb in Liszt, Scriabin, Rachmaninoff etc, but Mozart is what I think Horowitz was really good at. Many people didn't really pay attention to his ability of playing Mozart, but I have to say that if they carefully listen to Horowitz's recording, they will just be amazed. His tone is absolutly amazing, and how he brings out the color was extraordinary. For Horowitz's fan, his recording of Tchailovsky 1st piano concerto(1943) and Rach3(1951) is probably the best ever made in the piano history. I just can't say anything bad about him. He's my favorite pianists of all time.
