There was a shi ting hui on Wednesday organised by TW Sony Music and Jerry said that he spent one week in the recording studio just for "Yi Gong Chi". Producer Lee Si Song is very particular about every small detail and hence there was once where Jerry had to record a verse for 50 times. A typical Capricorn - determined and also because Jerry demands alot from himself, he is able to produce a satisfactory piece of work to himself as well to his producer. As this is his first album, Jerry put in alot of effort and feel very anxious everyday. This album comprises mainly of slow rock songs and Jerry's long hair is also cut shorter to give a more man feel.
This album is of much importance to Sony Music and hence they invited alot of top producers including Lee Si Song and Liu Tian Jian to help Jerry. Jerry himself also put in alot of effort for this solo album. In this 2 years of production, other than trying to compose lyrics, Jerry also took singing and piano lessons so as to produce a good album.
Jerry says that he is under alot of pressure as this is his first album but the main pressure is not due to album sales but is the response and feedback from the fans. He said that he could have release his album when F4 was at their peak so that he need not worry about album sales, but as he ask alot from himself and he did not want to release an album for the sake of releasing. Sammi Cheng held her concert on 29 July evening in Hong Kong but the entire highlight of the show was Jerry Yan. Rumours about them some time back as well as Jerry being Sammi's concert guest star did raise some concern about Sammi's true love, is it former boyfriend Andy Hui or is it Jerry?

Jerry, who have become the rumoured person, yesterday came to Hong Kong from Taiwan to be the guest star of another rumoured girlfriend, Sammi Cheng.
