Both news articles, this one and the quote by Hermaning earlier were written by guess who? Ms. Nien. On the same day. Remember Ms. Nien? She is the reporter friend of Ms. Chai, who is famous of her hallcinating skills. I can understand that Ms. Nien needs to promote Mars for Ms. Chai. However, to promote a new drama, a common trick is to say there is some romantic involvement between the male and female lead stars, but it doesn't work this time, as no one will believe there is something romantic between Zai and Da S. Another trick is to say that they have problems, but that doesn't work neither, as Da S keeps saying she and Zai are so good that she doesn't mind filming kissing scenes with him. So, what can Ms. Chai/Nien do? So, Chai asked her friend to connect Jerry with Da S.
Yesterday, there was a news article on Xing Bao saying that Da S was always late and uncooperative when recording a song for Mars in the studio, so the staff labelled her as female Tarbosaurus (Bao Lung) and the reporter even said that she was as hard to manage as Jerry. In the article, the reporter did not provide any information on where Jerry's previous nickname was from or why Jerry was considered as "hard to manage" by staffs.
First of all, it doesn't matter how many times Jerry has explained that his previous nickname came from his character in Happy Campus, but it had nothing to do with his temperament. Jerry has tried so hard to avoid people from misunderstanding by even asking people not to call him "Bao Lung" any more. Reading that article gave me a feeling that most of his effort on this matter for the last one and half year was wasted. Second of all, may be in the mind of staffs, both are hard to manage, but the reasons for their "hard to manage" are totally different. Jerry has almost never been late. He has never missed his scheduled work without notice. He is very concentrated, cooperative, and considerate at work, even by practising a five-minute dance for eight hours each day until he has muscle cramp. However, when it relates to the quality of his work, he will speak up and he will request the staffs to give their best. He won't let it go easily and he will fight for what he wants for the best of the project. How can the reporter connect him with Da S' style of "hard to manage" without explaination? It was totally misleading. Her agent was interviewed to defend her in the article.
The second article written by Nien and quoted by Hermaning was an article to defend Da S. At the same time, it connected Jerry with da s again by mentioning Jerry and Da S' incident three years ago. In the article, Ms. Nien said that Da S and Jerry had problems during the filming of MG2 because 1. Jerry used a "look alike" to film with Da S and 2. She needed to keep waiting and waiting at the filming scenes. Other tricks done under the table were not mentioned. Just based on the reasons provided by Ms. Nien, were they Jerry's faults? If those were the only reasons, the production team should be the one to blame, not Jerry. Now Da S put the ball on Jerry' lap. "Oh, it is not me who doesn't want to work again." My memory on her saying "I never want to work with him again." is very clear. The lesson I learn: Never say never. Who knows how the world will turn?
I feel so funny. Ms. Nien is promoting Mars for Ms. Chai and both articles connected Da S with Jerry for gaining attention. Can't Ms. Chai create other talks which actually are about MARs without using Jerry? Afterall, Jerry is not the lead actor in Mars.
Regarding Ms. Lin's program, no guest has been invited and it is not about entertainment news. I guess the chance of Jerry's been there is very slim. On the other hand, some fans want Jerry to invite Ms. Lin for filming a mv. If this will happen, the view will be so good, as one is so handsome and one is so beautiful, and they are both so tall. However, the chance for this is very slim as well, as Jerry is not the type who will use his friends for the sake of promotion, although the agent/record company/he knows that it will definitely create talk/gain attention.
Again, the focus of my comment is not on Da S, it is on Ms. Chai's promotion tricks and the background of the three Jerry-related news articles on Xing Bao and United Bao in TW.
