Jerry Yan's birthday, fans donate to help relief effort

F4's Jerry Yan and Ken Chu passed the new year charitably. New Year's baby Jerry's birthday wish each year is world peace. His fans have donated money to the Red Cross to help the relief effort for the recent earthquake and tsunami disaster in South Asia. The Pepsi online charity auction ended yesterday and Ken's leather jacket sold for 18200RMB. All the money earned from this auction will be given to an organization that helps talented people's development.
Because of the recent disaster in South Asia Jerry wasn't in the mood to celebrate his birthday. Because of this his fans donated in his name as his birthday gift. The year before last year fans' donations helped protect the Yellow River. Last year they helped girls get an education. This year fans from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, United States, Canada, Britain, France and other countries, there's a total of 21, all raised money to help the South Asia disaster relief effort. Fans from Thailand and the Philippines even helped deliver resources and held fundraising activities to help out.
Learning to drum and play the piano
Earlier, in order to film a candy commercial Jerry learned how to play drums, cello and piano. Plus the fact that he always wishes that he can play and sing himself at concerts, fans especially gave him a grand piano so that he can always practice. Two days ago he was in Beijing, Shanghai and other places to talk about a new movie. He said that he thanks fans for their thoughtfulness and he hopes that he'll give an even better performance this year.
Training talented people
Pepsi's charity auction ended yestereday. All of Ken's clothing sold for a total of $110,000, topping all others. In 2nd place was Jerry's clothing sold for $60,000. Sammi Cheng, Jolin Tsai, Jay Chou and other celebrities' clothing sold for more than $20,000. All funds will help train talented people.
