ตัวอย่างรีวิวอัลบั้ม American Idiot
1. " "American Idiot" combines several styles of music that is unmatched by any other Green Day record. It's amazing how a band like Green Day can take your standard three-chord sound and revive it, making it sound fresh each time. They mix it up with chimes, bongos, piano, sound effects and non three-chord guitar rhythms and solos. This is by far Green Day's most progressive effort to date. The music's time changes very rapidly, drifting in and out of hardcore punk rock directly into soft melodic acoustic settings. The harmony on this record is breathtaking, never seeming dull.
Green Day raises the bar once again, proving that their prime hasn't past, starting a new revolution in punk. They weren't destine to be in the spotlight of fame their whole career. They were destine to change punk rock as we know it. They are pioneers that have proven themselves time and time again. Every record they make gets better and better. "American Idiot" is somewhat of a masterpiece with long lasting power. There is a lot to absorb on this record that may not sink in after one or two listens. It is a multi-faceted undertaking that is unmatched in music history."
2. "I would definitely say that this is my favourite album of 2004, because it's fresh and new and exciting for me, and most importantly, it has a theme. It has a real message that Green Day weren't afraid to express, because they knew the music was good enough to shine through and that people would see the album's genius. I would definitely recommend this album to anyone interested in Green Day, because this is sure to be a big starting point for many newcomers. The guys have surpassed all expectations here - buy it."
3. "Although I annually listen to hundreds of albums in my capacity as music director at my University's radio station, I can safely say that this album is the most bracing, rich and rewarding album of the year. Certainly, it is not a superficially original album-the influences that range from the Who's mini-rock opera "A Quick One...", general power pop, punk and pure pop are immediately recognisable. However, Armstrong and company have created an immediately endearing and--surprisingly enough-transcendent work that functions and succeeds on so many levels."
4. " "American Idiot" is powerful stuff. Who would've guessed that the guys from Green Day would be the ones to deliver it? It doesn't matter. They have our attention again because they have proven their music is not only relevant, but also lasting and important. This time, however, they have left us wanting more and waiting with anticipation."
