มีเว็ปหนึ่งเถียงกันเรื้องนี้โคตรมันส์ แต่ใช้เหตุผลนะครับ เอามาให้ดูกัน
ฝ่ายเชียร์ Dream Theater บอว่า
1) Vocalist: Though both of them aren't very good I don't see that i can give an advantage to either one. TIE
2) Guitarist: No-Brainer, Alex Lifeson couldn't touch what John Petrucci can do on the guitar. DREAM THEATER
3) Bassist: Well this is pretty hard, Geddy wrote better bass lines, but his solos don't really compare to John Myung's TIE
4) Keyboardist: Geddy Lee does most of the keyboard work, though he's not nearly as prominent but that's not his gig, so I'm not gonna penalize on those grounds N/A
5) Drummer: Neil Peart is incredible and pretty much everyone is below him, will this change in the next 10 years, will Mike Portnoy out-do Neil, only time can tell. RUSH
6). Influence: I'd like to cite another example in music. Black Sabbath is considered by many the fathers of heavy metal, though many believe it was perfected by Iron Maiden. That's my train of thought (no pun intended with the newest DT album) with Rush vs. Dream Theater, Rush was the inventor, but DT was the perfector. DREAM THEATER
7). Talent: I would have long debates about this, but in the end, DT is mroe talented than pretty much every band with the exception of a couple of bands. DREAM THEATER
8). Popularity: Rush is, and probably will be more popular than DT will ever be. With that in mind, I give the edge to Rush, and that's probably the way it will always be. RUSH
9). Respect: This is a very important catagory in my opinion, because if you ask any member of DT they total respect for Rush and many others (prog-bands) will credit them. Don't mistake this with "influence", i'm talking about what their peers think about them. RUSH
So in conclusion, it's a tie. So the only way to break the tie is to put Dream Theater 1 and Rush 1a, and that's unfortunaly the only way to end the debate.
ตกลง DT ชนะไปแค่นิดเดียวเอง
