Gwen Stefani (tickets | music), who launches her first solo outing next month, has added a slew of new dates to the run, and has added M.I.A. (tickets | music) and Ciara (tickets | music) to the roster of acts who will rotate through the opening slot.
New to Stefani's schedule is a late-November, two-night stand on her home turf in Southern California, followed by a string of U.S. and Canadian dates that wrap up just before Christmas.
Among the new December shows are return visits to San Diego and New York City, which Stefani will first hit during previously announced October and November stops. Details are included in the itinerary below.
Previously announced show-openers the Black Eyed Peas (tickets | music) are on board from the tour's Oct. 16 kick-off in Phoenix through a Nov. 14 concert in St. Paul, MN. Meanwhile, Stefani has recruited M.I.A. to take over from Nov. 16 through Dec. 1, and Ciara from Dec. 4 through the tour's currently scheduled Dec. 21 wrap-up in the Miami area.
Dubbed the "Harajuku Lovers" tour, the outing takes its name from Stefani's recently launched fashion line, and supports her debut solo album, "Love. Angel. Music. Baby." The set, which surfaced last December, is double-platinum certified for shipping two million copies in the U.S., and has sold more than five million copies worldwide, according to Interscope Records.
Fueling sales are four hit singles: "What You Waiting For?" and "Rich Girl," as well as "Hollaback Girl" and latest cut "Cool," both of which are riding Billboard's latest Hot 100 Airplay chart.
The Black Eyed Peas are backing their latest album, "Monkey Business," which hit stores in May and has spawned the hits "Don't Phunk with My Heart" and "My Humps."
British electronica artist Maya Arulpragasam--known as M.I.A.--is supporting her critically acclaimed debut, "Arular," released in March.
R&B singer Ciara delivered her solo debut, "Goodies," last year, and has increased her notoriety with guest appearances on the recent Missy Elliott hit "Lose Control" and Bow Wow hit "Like You."
