Mariah with Karl Lagerfeld. The "Karl" Mariah thanked during her acceptance speech at the Bambi Awards was Karl Lagerfeld. Both later confirmed in a backstage interview that he photographed Mariah for an upcoming issue of V Magazine.
Lagerfeld, a distinguished fashion designer and photographer, is currently the chief executive of design at the House of Chanel. One of his most recent works is dressing up Nicole Kidman with a billowing gown and ostrich feathers in the opening scenes of the Chanel No. 5 ad.
