It's time to get into the holiday spirit, take out your "Merry Christmas" CD and start singing along!
After the successful "Mariah Idol" contest last year, we decided to make it a trend!
To celebrate Christmas this year, in an all festive, Mariah fashion, we will be holding a contest and giving out prizes to those of you who can sing Mariah!
Contest Rules
1. Record your own version of one of Mariah's Christmas songs (any of the ones on "Merry Christmas")
2. Upload it via Rapid Share and send us the link at idol@mariahdaily.com.
3. Deadline for entries: Friday, December 23rd at midnight!
Apply To be a Judge
This year, a judging panel will decide on the two finalists. If you want to be one of the judges, please e-mail us at idol@mariahdaily.com. One of the judges will also be rewarded with a prize!
The rules to be a judge are simple:
1. You cannot be a contestant.
2. You must listen to all the entries prior to voting.

Dec. 19 - Dec. 23: Entries Submissions
Dec. 24: Finalists Announced
Dec. 24 - Dec. 28: Judges Deciding Two Finalists
Dec. 28 - Dec. 31: Site Visitors Voting on Winner!
January 1st, 2006: Mariah Daily's Idol Winner Announced!
Prizes
The winner will receive an autographed Mariah Carey CD and a copy of the limited 7-11 "Merry Christmas" EP!
One of the judges will also receive a copy of the limited 7-11 "Merry Christmas" EP and a "Shake It Off" poster!
Note: Both the singing contest and the judging panel are open for all fans - all ages and all countries. The only rule is to be a Mariah fan!
