เจ้าหน้าที่จาก Quartermaster museum ตอบกลับมาว่า
"I have looked and cannot find any macaroni soup or self-heating rations that were used by the US Army. This must haved used a civilian type hunters ration. You are right that we used the C-rations in cans and small field stoves that used kerosene and gasoline not cotton wool and alcohol. The US Army has canned bread but it did not expand three times its size when opened. So, I don't know where the writer found these rations but they are not US Army rations of the period..."
คร่าว ๆ ก็อย่างที่บอกอ่ะค่ะ เขาว่าไม่มี แต่ทีนี้นุ่นคิดว่า มันอาจจะเป็นความผิดที่นุ่นอธิบายได้ไม่ดีพอ คำศัพท์ที่พยายามใช้อธิบายเขาไป มันอาจจะถ่ายมาจากภาษาไทยแบบทื่อ ๆ เกินไป หรือความหมายมันอาจจะไม่ได้ นุ่นก็เลยเอาแอดเดรสเจ้าหน้าที่ Quartermaster museum Mr. Luther Hanson คนนี้ไปฝากไว้ที่ปู่อุปนะคะ ให้ทีมงานที่ภาษาอังกฤษดี ๆ ดีกว่านุ่นติดต่อกลับไปอีกที น่าจะได้ข้อมูลที่ดีกว่านี้ เพราะที่นี่เป็นตัวต้นแหล่งแล้วล่ะค่ะ แล้วเจ้าหน้าที่เขาก็ดูพร้อมช่วยเหลือนะคะ ส่งเมล์ไปสองสามวันก็ตอบกลับมา ไม่ได้เงียบหายไป
