Yesterday Ive seen a single ticket (face value 5,800 Yen) for one of Hey!Say!JUMPs spring concerts at Osaka Hall go for 35,500 Yen at Yahoo!Auctions. Im not kidding. Thats somewhere in the neighbourhood of US$350. Thats 220. Thats three times of what Ive paid for a Frank Sinatra ticket in 1993. Thats hilarious.
But you know what, Johnnys concerts are worth their weight in gold and even more. Ive seen nine Johnnys events so far and they were all great, even if sometimes it was just a tiny little detail that made them great, but they all were.
Heres a few random facts about the first Hey!Say!JUMP spring concert in Osaka on Friday, individual things that made it great for individual people who ended up blogging about it. I find some of them great too.
The concert lasted roughly 2 hours and 30 minutes. Overall behaviour of the fans was better than at the Tokyo Dome concert in December. There was reasonable silence during the MC corner and the ballads so that most people could actually hear and enjoy those parts. One fan notes: Compared to NEWS concerts people are much younger, and almost everyone has a Yamada Ryosuke uchiwa, you see almost no others. The stage in shape of the letters J, U, M and P covered almost the whole arena floor similar to the picture on the right. In the remaining areas of the arena floor there were trampolines that were used by HSJ and Johnnys Jr. members for JUMPing during the concert. Juniors entered and left the stage at almost every single point of its unusual shape and at any time throughout the concert. Security at Osaka Hall fails. During the concert two armed persons managed to enter the stage. One of them held a sword, the other one had a gun. Police reports state their names as Morimoto Ryutaro (sword) and Okamoto Keito (gun). The DAs office says they wont press any charges since it was a minor offence. Songs were performed by various people in various combinations. There were solos as well as medleys. They performed: Chance to Change in black suits with purple Ultra Music Power in white suits with green Shin*Gi*Tai in yellow suits with black Wonderland Train in white pants and blue aloha shirts (whatsですよ!) Higher (Keito & takaki, who obviously wasnt shooting Gokusen today) Flame of Love (Hikaru) Perfume (Ryosuke) Namida-kun, Sayonara (Ryosuke, Daiki, Yuto, Chinen) Oretachi no Seishun ~ Jitabata Junjou (Takaki) Star Time
Yabus solo song was accompanied by Yaotome Hikaru (guitar) and Inoo Kei (Pianoo). For his solo Chinen sat down on the U of a giant JUMP that hang from the ceiling and was lifted together with him during the song As before in Yokohama Arena, Yuto and Daiki both provided drum solos. Yamada Ryosuke sweats nearly as much as Yaotome Hikaru talks during an MC A new Johnnys Jr. sub-unit was made. Is made. I mean, is MADE. No, they didnt only make the name, they made the whole
oh stop confusing me!!! The name is MADE. MADE stands for Musical Academy Dance Etc. Whatsですよ!I love that man who keeps coming up with those names. Confirmed members of MADE are Abe Ryohei, Fukasawa Tatsuya, Miyadate Ryota, Onodera Ikki, Sakuma Daisuke, Watanabe Shota, and Iwamoto Hikaru It is not really clear whether MADE is a back dancing unit for Sanada Yuma, Nozawa Yuki and Hashimoto Ryosuke, who stood out with his brownish dyed hair, or if Sanada, Nozawa and Hashimoto are actual members and triumvirate leaders of MADE. Yay for Ikki. I like Ikki. Plus, the world needs more Hikaru too.
There will be more Hey!Say!JUMP spring concerts at Osaka Hall tomorrow (12:00 & 16:00) and on Sunday (12:00 & 16:00). The seven concerts at Yokohama Arena will take place May 3rd - 6th.
