As we have some guests who could not read Thai language, this is my summary of the events during these three weeks, based on my own personal impression. Hope that I could recall everything correctly.
Meeting Tamaki Hiroshi in Thailand What! A nearly impossible concept. I believed that no fans in Thailand have ever imagined or expected that they would have a chance to see him in person, not through TV or screens.
When I first read that Tamaki-san would be in Thailand for MW filming, it was really delayed news, as he has already been in this country. Jokingly, I posted on this board whether anyone knew anything about the filming locations. Luckily, we got the information.
The first attempt on June 4 did not bear any fruit. One of our friends who went to survey at CTW, saw only the filming staff but not the Star, and later we heard that he might not have any scence on June 5. The possibility to see him was getting smaller.
Anyway, we heard that the filming would take place at BTS Chongnonsee Station on June 7. My friends and me decided that we would try again. We succeeded on that day. More than my expectation (just seeing him from a long distance), we were able to talk and get his signs. My first impression about Tamaki-san: good-looking (undeniable), tall and very slim, fair complexion and friendly enough to talk with Fans. (I thought that he was preparing himself for the scene, not exactly in the mood to talk with foreigners).
On June 16, we went to CTW again. This time too, we were not sure about the information, just tried to go there early in the morning. My good friend, Moonoi Hatchi was the first one to saw him and had some conversation with him, unexpectedly Tamaki-san can speak and communicate in English well.
He finished his work early on that day, but we were able to see and gave Tamaki-san and Furuhata-san (whom we had still mistaken for Tamaki-sans Manager Gomennasai) our presents and cards. We also got the chance to shake hands with him.
On that day, my impression was that he looked more relax, and answered more questions. Maybe because he finished his work for that day, or maybe he got used to our faces ^^. I think when he is not in drama/movie character, his voice is softer, but this is my own personal opinion, please do not take it seriously.
After that day, we heard many stories about people meeting him in Bangkok area, both during filming and his private times. He always welcomed Fans who talked to him and asked for signs.
On June 21, I could not go but some of my friends went to the airport to see him off. As I have not been there myself, I could write only my impression based on the recounts of Tomochan, Dr.Jah and Moonoi Hatchi. Tamaki-san was in relaxing mode with worn-out outfit, his usual sandals and natural hair-style (not doing anything with his hair at all, so it fell around his face). He looked younger than his age with this backpacker-tourist style. This is according to Moonoi Hatchis word. This time, there were many fans wating for him, he smiled, talked and tried to give everyone his signs although hes already late for his flight.
What impressed me most about him was the conversation he had with Tomochan and others. He asked them how they came to the airport, then how and whether it was safe for them going back home.
I heard a lof of good things about him previously. Many of his colleagues praised him about his good manner, etc. But his question was unexpected and really nice. I dont think many actors will ask a question like that to strangers, Fans or not. It showed that hes a kind and caring person. Very nice, indeed. I certainly will continue following his work in the future.
During these three weeks, besides meeting Tamaki-san which was very good, I would like to say that Im glad knowing all of you, had the chance doing something unusual, and had the chance to accomplish the mission together.
Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to MW staff, both Thai and Japanese, who had to tolerate our presence near the filming area, and did not prevent us from contacting Tamaki-san. Doumo Arigatou.
