เป็นข่าวลือที่ไม่เป็นความจริงจ้า ภาพนางชีที่สื่อเอามาลงก็ไม่ใช่หวังจู่เสียน
เรื่องของเรื่องเกิดจากการที่หวังจู่เสียนแชทกับเพื่อนทางเน็ตว่าเธอชอบนั่งสมาธิและศึกษาเกี่ยวกับศาสนาพุทธ ซึ่งถ้าหากเธอยังคงศึกษาปฏิบัติธรรมต่อไป วันหนึ่งข้างหน้าเธออาจจะบวชชีก็เป็นได้
นักข่าวฟังไม่ได้ศัพท์แล้วจับไปกระเดียดเพราะชอบประโคมข่าวแบบจับแพะชนแกะอยู่แล้ว (เหมือนของประเทศไหนน้า) จึงสันนิษฐาน (แถวบ้านเรียกมั่ว) ว่าเธออาจผิดหวังในความรักจึงบวชชีหนีรัก ซึ่งไม่เป็นความจริงแต่อย่างใดจ้า

Since reports of ex-actress Joey Wong have surfaced of her becoming a nun, the lady at the centre of it all has finally come out to state that she did not do it.
Shin Min Daily News reported that ex-boyfriend Chyi Chin was able to get in touch with Joey's uncle two days ago, who said that he received confirmation from Joey that she has not become a nun. Her sms message to her uncle read: "There is no such thing."
Chyi Chin said: "Joey said that misunderstanding could have arisen from a conversation with a friend, when she remarked that she had been meditating and practising Buddhism, and if she continued to do so, she may very well become a nun one day."
Joey had also told her uncle to assure Chyi Chin that she is fine, and he did not have to worry about her.
Chyi Chin also pooh-poohed reports that Joey decided to be a nun because of his relationship with another actress. He slammed the Hong Kong media for trying to sensationalise the facts.
