Many new drama series started during the weekend, and now the TV ratings have been announced.
Among them Samurai High School' broadcast on October 17th was the most viewed drama with a 14.0% rating.
The comedy drama is about a 'soshoku-kei danshi' high school student who causes mayhem by changing into a samurai.
[Soshoku-kei-danshi; literally means'herbivore men'. It refers to men who are timid and unassertive.]
Miura Haruma plays the main character.
On October 16th three new dramas were broadcast.
The mystery drama Untouchable' features Nakama Yukie as a journalist for a weekly magazine.
The comedy Ohitorisama shows the relationship between an ohitorisama
[independent, single female]' played by Mizuki Alisa and a ;soshoku-kei danshi' played by Koike Teppei.
Another comedy titled Gyoretsu 48-jikan [lit;Queue 48 Hours']' also started.
Kunimura Jun plays the role of a middle-aged man, and the story centers around the experiences he has in the two days from New Year's Eve to January 2nd.
Untouchable' scored 11.6%, Ohitorisama' was 10.1%, while Gyoretsu 48-jikan' took 4.4%.
On the 17th A Little Princess' got 7.4%.
It is a modern adaptation of the famous children's story ;A Little Princess' with Shida Mirai playing the lead role.
The drama season has just started. How will each story progress?
