[Oct-23-2009]The world's first electric sports cars will be named by the name of Rain.
Korea's CT&T and UK's Rotters, which specialize in making electric vehicles and sports cars respectively, have announced a joint venture to develop electric sports cars dedicated to short range.
If they succeed in developing, the world's first electric vehicles which assume the form of low speed for low cost , will be offered.
The CT&T side expressed as, "If we can finalize plans to develop such cars as planned, it has been informally arranged that the Rain named after singer Rain, who is the publicity ambassador promoting CT&T, should be named."
Separately, CT&T has signed 400 million dollar contracts with several countries, such as Japan's NAFCA, Japan's Sibaura group, America's 2AM group, America's MVP group, America's EVI group, Canada, and Taiwan's Youngpoong group, to supply 3000 electric cars, 1000, 7000, 5000, 5000, 5000, and 2000 electric cars respectively.
Menawhile, Rain participated in Tokyo Motor Show to promote CT&T specializing in making electric vehicles on October 22.
