i'm a woman and i'm really into this whole kaung and phi storyline because it's so refreshing to see something new onscreen.
most of the times when they put a gay couple onscreen, they're made out to look like idiots. for example numtah mai, the gay guy marrying the nang'aik just to save his own face while he goes and gets it on with other guys. or sapai loog thung where the pra'aik's brother is gay. he's basically the 'bad' person in the story that nearly kills his own brother because of jealous.
but in proong nee kor ruk ter, kaung and phi are anything else but. they don't create trouble for anyone. their love is innocent and pure, maybe even more than the regular relationships between a man and a woman in this generation.
so with all that said, i'm proud to say that if i meet a gay couple just like kaung and phi, i wouldn't treat them any differently than how i would treat any other couple. i would even compliment them and congratulate them on finding true love, if i was friends with them. it'd be a love that i would be envious of. ^_^
