About Wonder Girls: Wonder Girls First Showcase
At 8:00pm on 13 February 2007, Wonder Girls held their first showcase in the MTV studio, Chungmu-ro, Seoul and revealed their skills that they had honed for a long time.
They heated up the stage performing a cover of Dont Cha by Pussycat Dolls first, followed by their own songs such as Irony and A Sorry Heart.
Then, each of them with a strong individuality did a solo performance. The leader, Sunye sang Stand Up For Love by Destinys Child, Hyun-a showed off flash dance moves. Sunmi, Yeeun, Sohee showed off their singing abilities performing to a cover of Janet Jacksons Together Again.
After singing Irony which is the title track of their first single, they finished the 40 minute showcase.
Wonder Girls is a teenage girl group ambitiously prepared by JYP entertainment and they have solid skills.
Meanwhile, their showcase broadcasted live on MTV, was attended by about 150 people including fans, music officials and reporters. And nearly 10,000 people watched the live show on Bugs, Empas, Joins.com, PandoraTV, JYPE homepage etc.
