This is what I wrote to CNN: "I cannot sit silently any longer and allow what you are reporting to pass me by. Your reporting of the Thailand crisis is abominable. Your reporter, Dan Rivers, is so biased towards the red-shirts it is embarrassing. I am not pro-government. But I am pro fair and balanced and OBJECTIVE reporting, and you are simply not doing this. You are portraying the red shirts as poor democracy freedom fighters battling an illegitimate government. This is the red-shirt belief that clearly is just one side of the story, which many people believe to be propaganda. Rivers is a pawn of the red shirt leaders; it is sensationalistic and embarrassing for those of us who can see both sides. And just an hour ago, Jim Clancy breathlessly told us the prime minister was "not democratically elected". For God's sake, do your homework. Google it, and you'll find how wrong he is. I never thought I'd be writing to you like this, but what you are doing is a terrible disservice to Thailand. Please show the Thais some respect and stop adding fuel to the red-shirt fire."
And this is what I got back from CNN:
"While we are unable to personally reply to every e-mail, your comments are important to us, and we do read each and every one. Comments become part of the viewer response report that is prepared and made available each day to our producers and senior management. If you have mistakenly submitted a question or story idea through this comments section, please allow time for it to be tagged as such and routed to the appropriate persons for handling."
Thanks for nothing, CNN.
