MBC Sunday Sunday Night viewer ratings break the 10% mark

For a long time, MBC’s Sunday Sunday Night has been 3rd best, behind KBS’ Happy Sunday and SBS’ Good Sunday.
However, the ratings have went up noticeably this past weekend, achieving ratings up to 11%.
Since last December, the show could not pass the 10% rating so this was the first time in 7 months. Good Sunday had about the same rating this week, achieving up to 8.7%, whereas Happy Sunday remained the champion, with 13.2%, which was exceptionally low from its usual high ratings.
The new program in Sunday Sunday Night, Hot Brothers, has been getting popular, which is likely the reason for the rising ratings for the usually low MBC programme. However, the reason might also be because Happy Sunday did not air new episodes this week, resulting in viewers tuning into either MBC or SBS.
Will the ratings keep going up, or was it just pure luck? We’ll find out next week especially with SBS introducing new programs, Yoo Jae Suk’s Running Man while the ongoing strike leaves Happy Sunday’s broadcast in limbo.
