Everybody Loves Khuntoria
If you havent yet fallen in love with We Got Marrieds International Couple lovingly known as Khuntoria or Vickhun (I still think one of our commentors ThaiChi couple name was the best) then you must fall into one of three categories: 1. You dont watch We Got Married (WGM), 2. Youre a crazy 2PM/Nichkhun fangirl (or fanboy), 3. Youre just a hater in general (joking).
I had my reservations when I heard of the Nichkhun and Victoria pairing for the newest couple on the show of virtual marriages. WGM was my introduction into Kpop, so I have always kept track of the show even though at times I didnt always watch every episode (like the time period after JoongBo until the entrance of the Adam Couple). I always thought Khun was cute, but never got why he was soo popular. And Victoria? Who the heck was she? The leader of f(x)? Wasnt that Amber, or Sulli, or Krystal? Victoria had also just been added to the cast of Invincible Youth so there had to be something special about her. I was intrigued.
So, I watched their first episode. It was pretty funny how they kept setting up Khun. He was a gentleman, charming, cute, and polite. I could start to see why he was so popular, he was smooth, but not to the point where you thought he was a player. It was interesting to see that Victoria was one the of the girls who he wouldnt have minded to be coupled with. Victoria was cute, nice, direct, and a little 4D. She seemed to be a little more than pleasantly surprised to see that Nichkhun would be her virtual husband. That mutual attraction creates a little tension which always makes things interesting.
One thing different about Khuntoria, is that they arent really restricted by the whole skinship thing. Seeing Seulong and Jinwoons reaction when they were both looking through the telescope with their heads together in the first episode was soo classic. In the episode when the boys from C.N. Blue were guest hosting and Nichkhun held Victorias hand, it was pretty funny when one of them mentioned that Yong Hwa hasnt even held Seohyuns hand yet. They also often feed each other, even taking a bite from the same bit of food or from the same utensil which has the WGM MCs yelling indirect kiss whenever it happens. While never crossing the line, the two are quite comfortable with each other from early on.
It wasnt the first two episodes that got me hooked though, it was all the ones after that. The episodes they meet up after Khun comes back from touring the US were classic. I began to really become a Victoria fan when she showed Khun her disappointment and displeasure with him for not doing the journal and wanting to sleep. She didnt complain or whine about getting little sleep herself because she got up early to make all their snacks. He totally knew she was upset, but she wasnt a bitch about it. Even though Khun tried to lay on the charm, Victoria knew how to keep him real while being totally genuine.
I love that while you know Victoria is into Khun (she searches the internet for information about him like fave foods), she doesnt let him get away with anything. I like that Khun keeps his word and did do the journal for Victoria even though he was so busy. I also love that Victoria was totally not afraid of hitting Khun for lying to her about the journal, its things like that which makes their relationship feel so real to me even though I know its fake. I respect Khun for trying to be thoughtful and respectful of Victoria even though hes a guy and sometimes disappoints her (like not knowing any of the things she likes, for example green tea ice cream which Jinwoon knew, but he makes it better by immediately asking her about the things she likes).
In the latest episode,Victoria cooked a whole birthday feast for Khun as well as made him chocolates. She also prepared a present for his parents to thank them for raising a wonderful son. You could totally see how grateful and touched Khun was. If you didnt get all warm and fuzzy inside when they together wrote a card to his parents, you must be dead, delusional, or a boy. I think Victoria is totally genuine in doing these things, shes not just doing it for the ratings or the show, its just the kind of person that she is. Seeing Khun get a little jealous and protective of his wife at the driving center was also too cute.
If you havent been following the Khuntoria couple check them out, theres never a dull moment. If you dont know where to find episodes try checking out fan sites for 2PM or f(x), forums at popular Kpop sites, etc. The couples fans have even started doing fan vids for them, check it out.

The couples popularity is on the rise and can be seen by the amount of screen time they get (almost as much as the other two couples), the growing amount of articles about them, and increasing adoration in their individual careers. Nichkhun was always popular, but fans say at the music shows screams for him and Victoria have been increasing in fervor and volume. Rumor is that Nichkhuns surprise date for Victoria in the next episode is a double date with the Adam couple to the romantic Namsan Tower, a definite couple must.
