[AML ep.49 CHINESE Sub + Recap]
Director Kim, and the Hwang family
* After finding the receipt of the hospital bill, Mi Sun went to ask Director Kim if there’s anything bothering him or if someone he knows who is seriously sick. DK claimed that the only thing bothering him is Ok Yeop and he loses his appetite whenever he thought of OY.
* MS is not convinced and went to the hospital to find out what is going on. DK and TS were at the hospital and MS overheard that DK telling the daughter of the granny in coma that he would take care of the hospital charges in the future and told her not to worry.
* MS was hesitating outside the ward until finally the daughter came out and asked who she was. When she found out that MS is DK’s wife, she expressed her gratitute.
* MS also found out that DK has a daughter of his own and is actively looking for her. Now the fact that DK refused to register their marriage became clear to her - if anything happened to him or their marriage, they don’t get a single cent.
* DJ visited DK’s house to get comics and OY’s handheld game console for him. He managed to persuade Butler Kim to visit OY with him.
* When they reached the police station, OY was very happy to see BK. When the other inmates heard that BK was there, they all came forward. BK was puzzled as to why they seemed to know him. They told him that they have all heard about him from OY.
* The inmates revealed that his face is really very long, like a horse and they also know of his love for the drama. OY said that put simply he’s a horse-like ahjumma. BK got angry and stormed off. DJ scolded OY for being rude. OY was indignant and said that he was just stating the truth.
* OY then asked DJ about Seung Ah. DJ reassured him that his secret is safe with him and he would not tell SA about it. OY was obviously pissed about that but he can’t take back his word.
* In the end, DK got what he wanted - the other party reduced the compensation to 100,0000 and he paid for it.
* BK actually went to DK to suggest waiting some more and see if the other party would be willing to reduce the fees more. He was hit by DK for suggesting it.
* Hwang twins were going on and on about how generous DK is when MS told them that he actually has a long-lost daughter that he’s doing all he can to find right now and that he never treated them as his own children.
* Hwang twins were of course shocked.
Seung Ah and Granny
* Seung Ah was still behaving in a cold manner towards Granny. One morning, she left the house without bringing her lunchbox. So in the end, Granny made a trip to the hakgwon to pass it to her.
* While she was at the office, she found out that SA had done somethings wrong and were scolded by DK. She began apologising on SA’s behalf and asked the teachers to look after her.
* She was about to go and apologise to DK when SA came in and overheard her. SA pulled her out of the office and scolded her for taking matters into her own hands. Basically, it was a “who are you to apologise on my behalf? We are not even related” rant.
* Teacher Bang heard the conversation and reprimanded SA for shouting at Granny. SA walked off and Granny said she shouldn’t have come to the hakgwon.
* That night, Granny was waiting for SA outside the house because it was late and SA was not home yet. She didn’t have to go for her part-time job, so Granny was wondering why she wasn’t home yet.
* In the end, she walked out to the main street, slipped and fell on the slippery ice. Luckily, TS drove past and sent her to the hospital immdiately.
* SA who was with NY and Teacher Bang received a phone call from TS and she rushed to the hospital. While rushing there, she realised that she had been really mean to Granny since she had brought her up despite not being related to her.
* When she arrived at the hospital, she was all apologetic and the two of them just kept apologising to each other.
* TS sent the two of them home. After he reached home, SA actually called him to thank him and to apologise for her behaviour the past 2 days. All he could say was ‘yes’.
* After the phone call, he sent a message to her and then waited for her reply.
* BK came in and told him that it was late and he should get ready for bed. Just as he was about to leave the room, her reply came in and he was SO happy about it.
* When BK asked who sent him a message that made him all happy, he said it was spam and continued smiling.
Sorry, didn’t do the recap in the sequence it was shown, just thought it was more straight-forward this way. I have to point out that MBC editing is FAIL today. TS should be with SA and Granny BEFORE reaching home with BK and DK. I’m a stickler for such details and when I watched the live streaming, it kinda bugged me but I didn’t know if I was right. After watching the subbed video, I was right.
Anyway, I like it that the show is more than just laughs now. I actually look forward to watching every new episode now.
