24 HOUR 2AM
To rise as 2AM the “ballad group”, to be widely acknowledged as real great singers. These are Jo Kwon, Chang Min, Seul Ong and Jin Woon’s dreams, four different guys with one similar dream. At Golden Disc Awards held on 9th December 2010 2AM was awarded Daesang for Digital Song. That was the moment when their dream were no longer just a dream, but a reality. Let’s turn back time, 12 hours before they were about to cry and could not even speak properly because they were so emotional, and spend a real day with 2AM.
Even though we survive hardships and even though the times when we go through difficult tests are distressing, it is also distressing when we receive our evaluation on our report cards. Perhaps even more distressing. Because there’s a chance that all the effort and hardwork we did are just not enough. What kind of test did the year 2010 feel like for 2AM? Was it like a lucky day when they came out of the classroom, smiling and thinking, “The questions today were easier than I thought”? Or was it like a moment when they sat anxiously, sweated heavily, stared at the questions that were completely different from what they had learned before? On 9th December 2010, on the day of Golden Disc Awards, the four of them stood together to accept the appraisal for what they did all year.

“When they called out our name as the winner of Daesang for Digital Song, I felt like my mind just went blank. I did not remember anything else. This award is like the biggest reward as well as the biggest whip that 2AM received recently. We won’t forget the meaning of those two words. We will enjoy our happiness today, and then we will have to carry on with the feeling of obligation and work twice as hard in the future.”
