Jo Kwon had an accident during a concert and it stirs various kind of observations.
According to his agency, during the concert held on 26th March, Jo Kwon, the member of the popular group 2AM, was walking forward on stage when he missed a step and fell off the stage.
From the video posted on fans’ blogs, Jo Kwon, who participated in the “10th Lotte Duty Free Shop Family Concert” at Olympic Stadium, Seoul, was performing god’s “One Candle” along with his team members while walking slowly to the front stage, and then fell off the stage.
It was said that Jo Kwon wanted to be closer to the fans, and that’s why he walked to the front, but the light was too dark for him to see clearly. That’s how he missed his steps and fell off.
It was also said that Jo Kwon went to the hospital to get treatment after the concert. An official from the hospital said it was a “minor injury”.
But Jo Kwon’s accident during the concert does stir some criticism.
It is a common knowledge that the person in charge of the concert should do several checks including the protruding stage, when to turn on and turn off the lights, and the singers’ movement. Moreover if they did a meticulous rehearsal in advance, this kind of accident would not have happened.
People may say it’s because of the poor lighting, but officials from the music industry have the same opinion that well-known singers very rarely fall flat on the floor when they rush forward on stage during their concerts.
Anyway, because most singers will do a rehearsal in advance, from the day before up until the day of the concert, where they meticulously check on the width of the stage, the lights, the screen, etc, fans are wondering if there was a lack in that part which caused Jo Kwon’s accident during concert.
