[News] WGM's Nichkhun prepared a romantic event to celebrate Victoria's birthday
On MBC’s WGM 2’s show, Nichkhun’s preparation for Victoria’s birthday attracted much attention.
Nichkhun and Victoria travelled to Jeju Island for a New Year holiday. On the first day, Nichkhun secretly prepared a birthday surprise event for Victoria, whose birthday was on the next day (2nd Feb). Nichkhun’s specially crafted birthday cake was in the form of a durian, a tropical fruit, which is also Victoria’s favorite fruit. With the help of a hotel staff member, Nichkhun prepared this durian birthday cake. While Victoria was busy grilling samgyupsal, Nichkhun secretly took off to start on his durian cake. When they had dinner, Nichkhun presented to Victoria a birthday card that he had already made for her in the airplane. But Victoria was slightly disappointed when she found out that Nichkhun had only written her a “Happy New Year” message, and not the “Happy Birthday” message that she had expected. However, upon the stroke of midnight, Nichkhun started the birthday event, and with the background music set to “I’m in love”, the atmosphere became a lovely one. Afterwards, Nichkhun sang the birthday song while presenting the durian cake. Victoria immediately became happy. Nichkhun gave her a red scarf as a present. Nichkhun stated, “Victoria always had the same expression on, so I didn’t know if she was happy or not. As for the event, I felt unsure.” But Victoria was happy, saying “I was really surprised and touched,”
