คิดว่าจะยุติบทบาทของตัวเองไว้ที่นางเอกอย่างเดียวหรือเปล่า

ไม่ได้คิดอะไร ณ ตอนนี้เลยนะคะ แต่เราก็รู้ว่าใครจะมานั่งดูนางเอกอายุ 40 ล่ะ ถ้าเป็นฮอลลีวู้ดก็ยังพอเป็นไปได้ แต่ถ้าเป็นเมืองไทยมันไม่มีตรงนั้นหรอก แอนก็รู้แล้วล่ะว่าช่วงวัยตรงนั้นของแอนมันสั้นลงทุกทีโดยธรรมชาติ ตัวเราจะบอกตัวเราอยู่ทุกวันอยู่แล้วว่าเดี๋ยวมันจะมาถึง เพราะฉะนั้นถ้ามันจะมาถึง แอนก็ตั้งรับมันได้ แล้วถึงแอนจะไม่ได้เล่นเป็นนางเอก แต่แอนได้มาทำเบื้องหลัง ยังได้อ่านบทนางเอก หรืออย่างน้อยได้วางตัวว่าเอาคนนั้นเล่น คนนี้เล่น แทนความรู้สึกเรา มันก็ยังอยู่ในโหมดที่แอนยังมีความสุข เพราะยังได้อ่านบทละครอยู่ทุกวัน ยังได้อ่านนิยาย ชีวิตแอนยังไม่หายไปไหน แอนยังเป็นแอนคนเดิม เพียงแต่แอนไม่ได้ยืนอยู่หน้ากล้องแล้ว เค้าสั่งแอ๊กชั่น แอนเข้ามาอยู่ข้างหลังแล้วมองคนที่เค้าเล่นให้เรา ให้สิ่งที่แอนฝัน และแอนก็อยากจะไปตามเส้นนี้

Do you think that you will end your performing at the main actress role only?

I’ve never thought about it at the moment but I realize that who will watch the main actress aged 40? If it’s Hollywood, it will be possible but if it’s Thailand, there is nothing there. I know that my years on that place are shorter naturally. I tell myself every day that it will arrive soon. Hence, if it arrives, I will be able to take it all in stride. And if I’m no longer playing the main actress but I can switch to work behind the camera, still reading the main actress’s script or at least I cast the performers to compensate my feeling. It’s still in a mode of happiness because I still read drama script every day, still read novels. My life hasn’t gone anywhere. I’m still being the same person. I just haven’t stood in front of the camera. They say ‘action!’ then I’m being at the back looking at the performers who do the play for me, give me the things I dream of and I want to go along this entertaining career.
