On tonights Gossip Girl, Dans book comes out! Who will see the truth of Inside! which is already 38th on Amazons fake pre-order list because this is so not real life. But first, Dan has to warn the crowd of five left in his life before everyone comes to .. the big party!
Blair is already complaining about being huge, although shes about two minutes pregnant. Her faux prince wants to tell the family. Blair is worried shell be the star of a new show called royally screwed, which is probably the best line in GG so far this season. Shes refusing to read Dans book. But apparently the prince has and hes not happy. He decides to put the squash on telling his family.
Serena is working v. hard doing some sort of film thing. Shes sending Daniel Day Lewis rosebushes as bribes to do movies. Nate is digging up dirt on random people for Liz Hurley by using photos from the confiscated phones from last week. Were not really sure why hes all into her. One of the missing phones belongs to Charlie/Ivy, who is still all fakey. She helpfully offers to help find Ivy and sneaks her phone back. What a nice girl! Unfortunately, Liz Hurley has Charlie/Ivys number literally. Liz decides to blackmail Charlie/Ivy and offers to protect her in return for something v. bad, were sure.
Blair and Serena have barely spent any time together and were sad.
Dan calls an emergency meeting with Serena (we really like her cantaloupe colored dress, fyi), Blair, Nate, Ivy/Charlie, Lily, Chuck and Rufus. He tells them all about the book. Nate finds out that hes barely in the book and is mad. Serena doesnt come off particularly well because Dan wrote about what actually happened. What with sleeping with her professors and dumping him constantly while he sat around like that Droopy Dog cartoon. Daniel Day Lewis is apparently not happy about it either.
Chuck dies in the book and hes fine with it. Chuck is starting to feel his feelings again, thanks to the adorable doggie. Then Dans agent makes Chuck feel bad because he has a lot of staff instead of friends or family. Blair is mad that Dan blabbed about the schmoochie and then nooooooo noooooo noooooo, there are more schmooochies. Oh phew, its just Dans wishful thinking. In fiction world, Dan and Blair got it on, and the prince thinks its true. The prince says Blair has too many secrets. Somehow, Chuck talks him into staying with Blair, because deep down, Chuck has a good heart and loves Blair and wants her to be happy.
Blair says shes super duper mad and is never gonna talk to Dan again ever! So neh! Because how dare he ruin her engagement to the least fun prince in the world! She finally tells Serena that shes pregnant. Blair tells the prince hes got to learn to trust her. Even though were secretly hoping she lied to him and Chuck and is the real baby daddy.
Dan is sad that all the people he wrote about arent happy for him. They all leave his party and hes surrounded by a lot of people he doesnt know. Then Rufus tells Dan that his heart is broken because he gave up his rock star career to raise the kids, and now Dan portrayed him as a money-grubbing husband. Too bad itll be all over the place now because Serenas boss wants the movie rights.
The night ends with Chuck telling Lily that hes tired of being the bad boy. Hes all broody on the couch. Dan is all alone too. But Gossip Girl promises that were at the start of a brand new chapter!
Next week: Its Yom Kippur (a couple weeks late.) And Blair is about to lose everything. Again. What do you think? How will Chuck redeem himself to Blair? Again?
