Just wanted to add my two cents.
Everyone has an accent, and there is nothing wrong with it. British accent, Aussie accent, Indian accent, Thai accent, American accent--all could be native speakers, but sound different. So, keep speaking English, Thai folks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------
Responding to Comment 11: We usually don't use an adjective "fluent" with a noun "accent." "Fluent" is for speed, smoothness, appearance of comfort, etc. "Accent" would be modified by strong, difficult to understand, foreign, regional. Here is how we use "fluent" in a sentence:"Nadech is fluent in English." Or "Although he has an accent, he is fluent in English. Fluent in English means very good, like a native speaker in speed, clarity, smoothness, intelligibility, and understanding.
Just so you know!
