Good news for Sherlock fans - youll be able to catch a glimpse of stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Andrew Scott, as well as co-creator Steven Moffat, in tuxedos on the telly next Sunday as theyve been confirmed amongst the star-studded cast list for the Bafta TV Awards.
Cumberbatch is nominated in the Leading Actor category for his role as the detective, while Scott, who plays his nemesis Moriarty, will contest the Supporting Actor prize with Martin Freeman (as yet unconfirmed for the London event), aka Sherlock's friend John Watson.
Steven Moffat, also showrunner on Doctor Who, will pick up a Special Award for his services to British TV.
Amongst the other tube-luminaries walking the red carpet on Sunday night, expect to see Rolf Harris, who will join the Bafta Fellowship, Alan Sugar, Philip Glenister, Jennifer Saunders, David Attenborough, Sofie The Killing Grabol and
Amy Childs, to name but a few.
Sherlock is also nominated for the YouTube Audience Award, the only Bafta category voted for by viewers. But you can also tell us which show you'd like to win by voting in our poll - it doesn't count for anything, but you can't have too many polls, right?
Coverage of the 2012 British Academy television Awards starts at 8pm on BBC1 on Sunday 27 May. The event is hosted by Dara O Briain.
