Park Yuchun of K-pop trio JYJ will set off for his solo fan meeting tour in Asia next month, his agency C-JeS Entertainment said Monday.
C-JeS' decision to launch Park's forthcoming tour came as the singer and actor has been seeing a steep rise in his popularity among Asian fans after starring in SBS' "Rooftop Prince" this year.
Park will hit the road for the tour starting with the first stop in Shanghai on August 25 and he will head off to Taiwan and Thailand, but the dates and venues will be revealed on a later date.
"I am ever grateful for being loved by so many people throughout Asia and I think I'll enjoy this opportunity to deliver recent updates on my activities," Park was quoted as saying.
"This will give me a chance to share my memories about the characters that I have played including Lee Sun-joon, Song Yoo-hyun and Lee Gak."
As a member of JYJ, the trio last pursued their singing activities together in October 2010. All three members have been active with their solo activities on TV and musicals, and Park officially launched his acting career by starring in KBS' "SungKyunKwan Scandal" in 2010.
After being recognized as an actor in the hit TV series, he signed on for his second drama "Miss Ripley" (MBC, 2011).
Park's latest project on TV is "Rooftop Prince," in which he played the Joseon Dynasty's Crowned Prince Lee Gak. The time-transcending love story gained much popularity in the country by telling historical characters adjusting to the modern Korean society in 2012.
