[NEWS] 120806 Kim Jae Joong Cries His Eyes Out in Dr. Jin
Kim Jae Joong proved how immersed he was in his character through a tearful death scene.
The August 5 broadcast of MBCs Dr. Jin showed Kim Byung Hee (Kim Eung Soo) commit suicide in front of Kim Kyung Tak (Kim Jae Joong), the son of his concubine.
Kim Byung Hee had been putting together a plan to assassinate King Gojong, but was found out, and made the desperate decision to take his own life.
Kim Kyung Tak shed tears of sorrow at his fathers death, and before he died, Kim Byung Hee called his son by his name for the first time, saying, Your arms are so warm, Kyung Tak.
Kim Jae Joong said, For Kim Kyung Tak, his father was probably the biggest mountain in his heart. [His father] wouldve been too high and far away to look up to, but he wouldve been a comforting resting place. [Kyung Tak] wanted his fathers power to be used for the benefit of his country and his people, and so he lived diligently, but in the end the confusion of history set their lives apart.
He added, I cried a lot while shooting the scene myself because so many emotions came to me.
After the broadcast, netizens reacted, I cried so much. The conversation between the father and son was so sad and Was Kim Kyung Taks fate already decided on?
Dr. Jin has just one episode left until its conclusion, and is drawing interest on whether Jin Hyuk (Song Seung Hun) will return to the present, and what will happen to Kyung Tak and Young Rae (Park Min Young). The last episode will air on August 11.
