Ceci Korea (November 2012) - Timeless Eternity TVXQ ----------------------------------------------
Ceci November Issue -
Imagine if you were Immortal Vampire which is the concept of todays photo shoot, what kind of life would you like to live?
YH: It would be a jackpot if I could exist as TVXQ for hundreds of years, wouldnt it? (laugh) I would like to live as a public prosecutor, which was my childhood dream, or live a scholarly life whatever the subject may be. That seems interesting. (Ceci: You would be a great hot-blooded prosecutor.) Would I? I think of myself rather very calm.
CM: I would be happy with anything but a son of a super-rich family. Probably I would live my whole life not knowing the real joy of thinking what do I really enjoy doing? (if I were a son of a super-rich family). Oh, and one more thing! I would be born in England, become a hard-core football fan and live the whole life as a football supporter. After my daily routine, I would go to a pub, drink beer and feel the best possible happiness every single day.
YH: That sounds like fun. As I would live many lives, I could possibly move around many different countries and be a football fan in each of them.
At the time of this photo shoot, your 6th album Catch Me is yet to be released. Would you give us some hints about your new album?
YH: For the first time, this album is filled with all our memories. It can be called a box of stories. I feel its like our treasure all the more because I had so much to think about while making this album. You may feel the lyrics, our voices and everything much more matured.
CM: If I use a bit exaggerated expression. At the time of Industrial Revolution in UK
..(laugh)
like the society changed rapidly, this album represents the time for us to pursue changes with our existing colors and charms as the center point.
Yunho, we noticed your condition was not good today but you still shouted Fighting.
YH: Although my physical condition is not good today, I still ate two bowls of white rice so I am okay. I enjoy it while working, my policy is to intentionally try to do things cheerfully. To tell you the truth, I am not that cheerful person. There are difficult moments even for me. But as peoples impression on me tends to be quite sharp, I am making efforts (to be cheerful). You never know when and where you will meet that person again. So its important to have a good time together. There will never be another today.
U-know Yunhos tears at the Dome tour in Japan last spring became a much-talked-about topic among the fans
.
YH: I never had that kind of experience before. When the fans turned the while pen-lights on during the song as a surprise, I heard the heavy clinking sound in my heart. Then many memories and images of the difficult moments and the times we had tried so hard started coming and going in my mind like a kaleidoscope. I tried so hard to hold it off first, but the tears just started rolling down on my cheeks during the last song. My emotions were just overflowing and I could not stop it. Being the leader, I always restrained my words and behaviors, but I think I might have a desire somewhere in my heart to express my emotions like an innocent child does. Because I am a human, too. It was the first time for me to cry my heart out like that.
Changmin, you filmed the Japanese movie Fly with the Gold. What was your experience on the set with other leading actors, Satoshi Tsumabuki and Tadanobu Asano? (Note: Satoshi Tsubuki the best leading actor at the Japan Academy Award in 2010, Tadanobu Asano the best leading actor at the Japan Academy Award in 2009 and roles in several International movies)
CM: I totally understood why many movie directors and staffs want to work with these actors. I had to be on our live tour for the half of a week, and was be able to be on the movie set for the remaining half of the week. Its a pity that I could not stay at the movie set for the whole period of the shooting due to my schedule. But because we were all guys (laugh), we talked about like Which Japanese actress do you find pretty? or How about the Korean actresses?, and that kind of casual chats with them became a good energizer.
There must be a lot of difficult things for you as that was your first movie role and it was the foreign movie.
CM: Controlling my emotion was difficult as I was doing our live tour and the movie shoot in parallel. On top of that, my character was the dynamite expert from North Korea!! (laugh) It is true that I sometimes felt so frustrated with myself because I could not concentrate on either of them. The movie director was from the Western part of Japan (famous for the strong dialect and hot-blooded character) and a passionate person, so I was scolded by him a lot. In reality, I had to admit that I was not able to understand 100% of the delicate nuance of my lines in the foreign language no matter how hard I tried. That was the constant learning period for me, and it was a great experience.
I did my very best as much as I could at the given moments so I have no regret.
When reading your past interviews, the both of your replies about love life and relationship were quite honest and frank.
CM: Certainly I became more open-minded about these things as I am getting old. In the past, I used to simply reply I dont know much about it. But as the time goes by, the questions about love have become lesser of burden for me, you can say that I formed my own opinion about these things. That is kind of needed experiences and stories for the singer who sings love songs, isnt it.
YH: I am quite open and frank about these, no difference then as now. Because its not bad or anything like that. But I am against having my relationship in public. I think it is not good for my possible partner, either.
