Nice Guy Episode 20: Song Joong Ki Meets A Happy Ending With Moon Chae Won and Amnesia
Nice Guy has finally put a full stop to its intense plot with a happy ending. Ma-ru (Song Joong-ki) loses his memory to re-start his love with Eun-ki, severing all ties with his tragic love and starting anew again.
The finale of the drama showed Ma-ru waking up with amnesia, after being stabbed by Min-young and falling into coma, and beginning his love with Eun-ki anew.
Ma-ru previously declined to Jae-hees proposition that they take their life together, instead asking her to turn herself in. He wishes to live, even believing that he can survive without Eun-ki, but his life was flickering, with heavy bouts of pain. Eun-kis absence also pained him, adding to his torture.
After he collapses, Jae-hee finally sees her wrong and notifies Eun-ki that Ma-ru is dying. She turns herself in, even confessing to her framing Ma-ru 7 years before.
Eun-ki, while knowing Ma-rus condition, cannot bring herself to go to him because of her fathers death, and begins to blame herself.
Eun-kis life is also under threat from Min-youngs blind love towards Jae-hee, and Ma-ru comes to rescue. When Min-young tries to stab Eun-ki in the crossing, Ma-ru takes the knife instead of her. Eun-ki gives her farewell to Ma-ru, not knowing that he is stabbed, and kisses him one last time, vowing to meet him again. Ma-ru seemingly ends his tragic and difficult life, after seeing Eun-ki away.
7 years later, Ma-ru is revealed to be working in a medical center in a rural area. Next to Ma-ru, who had lost his memories in a big surgery 7 years ago, was Eun-ki, who relinquished everything to be with him. While Ma-ru lost all memories of his past love with Eun-ki, he nevertheless in the final scene dreams of a happy future with Eun-ki.
