The Usual Suspects* producer interested in a remake of Confession of murder
Confession of murder starring actors Jung Jae Young and Park Si Hoo and directed by Jung Byung Gil Director has attracted great interest overseas. This thriller has received rave reviews from domestic audience, and the producer of The Usual Suspects is interested in a remake.
Showbox revealed on the 15th that there was a meeting of the Hollywood producer and COM producer when they attended the Film Independent Forum in LA in U.S. DGA (Directors Guild of America) last October. After hearing from Executive producer Lee Yong Hee PD about the dramatic and intense confrontation of the two characters in Confession of murder and a shocking reversal, The Usual Suspects producer Kenneth Kokin expressed an interest in remaking the interesting story and a wish to continue talks.
Confession of murder was recently marketed at AFM (AMERICAN FILM MARKET), the worlds third largest film market of buyers in North America and other regions and received strong interest from buyers in many parts of the world. It was sold in Asia (China, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia) as well as French-speaking and German-speaking Europe.
Confession of murder opened in Korea on November 8 and has already attracted a nationwide audience of 1,043,987.

* The Usual Suspects is a 1995 American neo-noir film written by Christopher McQuarrie and directed by Bryan Singer. It stars Stephen Baldwin, Gabriel Byrne, Benicio del Toro, Chazz Palminteri, Kevin Pollak, Pete Postlethwaite, and Kevin Spacey. The Usual Suspects was shown out of competition at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival, and then initially released in a few theaters. It received favorable reviews, and was eventually given a wider release.
